Is A Basic T-Shirt & Jeans An “Outfit”?

When I first added this Plenty by Tracy Reese coat to my Gwynnie Bee closet, I didn’t give it much thought. I’d returned from England with just one coat in my suitcase. I was desperate for variety and I liked the color, but as usual, I was always doubtful that it would fit me. I’d even made the assumption that I would be sending it back immediately, one of the many perks of a Gwynnie Bee subscription. How wrong I was!

Officially called the Easy Layer Blazer, the name couldn’t be more appropriate. It elevates every look, instantly adding polish without making an outfit more dressy than you intended it to be. There’s both an oversized and an architectural quality in this piece that we don’t often see in plus, which is why it has totally bewitched me.

Underneath this coat, I am wearing a simple t-shirt & jeans, which I’ve shared before that I have a difficult time making feel as elevated as I’d like, and a simple pair of custom-sized Margaux ballet flats. It’s rare that I put together a subdued outfit that feels photo-worthy, but this coat truly does make all the difference.
